Exams began today. My seventh period, Algebra I exam was today. I am a step closer to installing Linux on another of Mrs. Gooch's machines and I think that all in all it's gone well. I will probably have to revise that statement whenever I get my exam grade. :-)

Well, where to start...

Standardisedtesting continues. I am still in the room of my favorite teacher and loving every day of it. (There is a break from testing tomorow, though, and we have to return to our orrigional room. :( ) I am now helping the aforementioned teacher install Linux on the older computers that she accuired through a new program in the are that helps corporations get tax deductions by donating old PCs to schools. This organization, forgot the name right now, dosen't accept the donation, but, rather, serves as a middleman, connecting corporations with schools. It gets business a 100% tax write-off if the PC is new enough. (I think that it has to be less than one or two years old for that.) There is a bracked scale with deduction amount decreasing as the PC ages. I think that this new program will allow schools in the are that cannot afford new technology finally get back into the technological revolution, just as schools were in the 70's with Apples and Commodores.

Today is the day for the standardised acheavement tests in the lower grades of my school. many classes have been displaced by students from the lower grads testing with there home-room teachers in classrooms that would be in use by higher grade students in this first period. I, though, am happy about it. My class was moved into the room of one of my favorite, not just teachers, but people. She is a very nice person who trully cares about the future of her students and the school at which she works.

Within a few days I will be helping one of the teachers here install Linux on several computers that were accuired yesterday evening. They are not the greatest computers in the whole, wide world, but with Linux they will still be better than the new Gateway computers with windows.
