GOOD Magazine: Business of Death

I discovered this on Dvorak.org/blog, and I was amused by how peppy and up-beat the music choice was. Also, the vital statistics of Death are something most people never really think about in this modern world of ours. I know I want a rental casket for my funeral service and a stable but eco-friendly softwood box for my actual burial. However, if it could be done more efficiently, I would not mind cremation and conversion into pencils that could be given as souvenirs to the funeral goers. That option would also mean that I could you me to sign my funeral service guest book. (Is that as disturbing as it seems? I mean, it didn't seem so bad before I actually typed it out... I wonder if it's an indicator of something serious, or simply the product of Lack of Sleep™?)

Save the Internet!

A friend just sent me this video from last year, and while it may be old it's certainly not dated. The fear of an impending end to Net-Neutrality is ever-present so long as big corporations fail to realize the value of a free and open Internet.

"New Soul" by Yael Naïm

Apple's marketing department strikes yet again. They have delivered an ad for the new MacBook Air that instead of selling me on a product I'm already drooling over, actually sold me on a new artist. Yael Naïm is incredible! Check-out her website here. It has links to several more YouTube! videos.

Embed Google Presentations

In a post from Google Blogoscoped, it seems that Google has improved users' ability to embed a Google Docs presentation in another website. For those of you who are impatient -- and partly because I thought it was really funny, below is the example from the article.

Get paid to view ads!!!!!111`

Ok, so I'm a joiner. I jumped on yet another money-making bandwagon just because I saw a referral link to it in my Twitter feed. Now, I already have Google AdSense and Amazon Associates links on my blogs and a Mozy link in my e-mail signature. I find myself adding this to my sig now. Where is this going?
